Previous Proclamations Proclamation 2006 Proclamation 2006, named for the year the State Board of Education issued it, calls for funding for the following instructional materials: English Language Arts & Reading, Grades K-1 Spanish Language Arts & Reading, Grades K-1 Reading, Grades 2-5 Spanish Reading, Grades 2-5 Literature, Grades 6-12 Spanish Literature, Grade 6 Proclamation 2006 is scheduled for state adoption in 2008 and implementation in 2009-10. For a complete list of future proclamations click here. Note: All future proclamations are on hold pending legislative action in the 2007 regular session. In the Spring 2006 Special Session, the Legislature directed the SBOE to issue no future proclamations until the Legislature changes the textbook system. Proclamation 2005 (Implemented School Year 2008-2009) Proclamation 2005 calls for instructional materials for elementary mathematics for grades K-5. These materials are scheduled for adoption by the SBOE November 2007 and implemented in school districts in the 2008-2009 school year. Proclamation 2004 (Implemented School Year 2007-2008) Proclamation 2004, named for the year the State Board of Education issued it, calls for mathematics materials for grades 6-12, including advanced placement and International Baccalaureate materials. These books are currently being reviewed by the Board and, if adopted in November, 2006, will be implemented in 2007 school year.
